Happy Birthday Blake!
HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY BLAKE!
I can't believe my little guy (sorry, I mean big boy) is 4 years old already! I remember when we brought him home from the hospital and how scared I was. How was I supposed to protect, but not over protect, and teach this Child of God all that he needs to know.
Blake has the best sense of humor and loves to make people laugh. He loves all sports! He is especially fond of his daddy and Cawpaw! But he always loves his Noni and tells me often he misses her when he is away from her. He is very smart and knows all his letters, numbers and can spell his name. He also knows his phone number, his daddy's cell number and his Noni's number. He makes many phone calls, many times a day!
He is such a good big brother and calls Kenzie, "MY Kenzie". When anyone talks to Kenzie, he always says, "She is my baby, she doesn't know any better!"
Some funny things about Blake is that he calls the air hockey table "Hair Walkey" and he calls the Walkie Talkies "Hockey Talkies". He loves being in his pajamas! He would be in them all day everyday if he could. He hates being cold, which is why he like his jammies! :) Blake calls gloves, "glubs". Every beverage is a diet coke to Blake, except for chocolate milk...
he LOVES chocolate milk.
He loves primary and knows so many of the primary songs. He also knows SO many Christmas songs. He loves Jingle Bell Rock!
I am so thankful for my Blakey and all that he has taught me about unconditional love and the joys of motherhood. I can't resist those big, blue eyes!
WE LOVE YOU, BLAKE!

A WHITE Christmas!
What an amazing Christmas we had! It started out with a record snowfall and blizzard for Oklahoma! The kids had fun playing in the snow Christmas Eve!

I can't believe how long Kenzie's eyelashes are! The snowflakes kept getting caught in them and she couldn't open her eyes! She is so cute in the snow!
We decided that since the weather was getting bad we would go and spend the night at my parent's house. Don't worry we did notify Santa of our change in plans! While Dad and Donnie (and their 4 wheel drive vehicles) went and rescued many people on Oklahoma roads who were stranded and took them safely to their homes for Christmas....we partied! We made cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning, cookies for Santa and even made stroganoff sandwiches
(a Christmas Eve tradition)
Blake loves making cookies with Aunt Reg!
We also took pictures with our Christmas pajamas on!

This one is my favorite!
We didn't have enough cookies for all Santa's reindeer because too little hands snatched them up when we weren't looking! Oh, well!

CHRISTMAS MORNING!
Oh, did Santa spoil us and my mom officially stood up before we started opening presents and said, "My name is Marilynn and I am addicted to Christmas shopping" (like we didn't know this already!) I love the look of the kids faces Christmas morning. It is the best!

This picture is really about the kitchen in the background. This is what Santa brought little Miss Thing! She also got a princess cell phone, which she hasn't put down since that morning, we are SO in trouble when she is a teenager! :)

Blake loved his red wagon that Santa brought and the basketball hoop from his Noni and Cawpaw but he especially loved his Buzz Lightyear toy from his sister!

They played in the wagon all afternoon!

I know her eyes are closed....but I had to document this funny picture of Kenzie in her Christmas jammies, OSU Cheerleader Outfit, brown hat with pink bow and her brother's new John Deere boots! (she got some of her own that are pink, but she really like her brothers! What an outfit!

And this is what happens when you are a little girl and Christmas morning is just too long! BTW, Blake captured this pic for me! :)
Today, after a good night's sleep, we headed out to play in the snow! We called are friend Abbey to join us! She and Blake are the best of friends!

Best Buds!

I was VERY surprised with Kenzie. We were out for about 2 hours and she went sledding for part of it, but she loved sitting at the top of the hill eating the snow!

He IS getting it!!!!
Yesterday at church, Donnie and I got up to sing with the choir and quickly shuffled Blake over to some friends so he would stay quiet. (Kenzie stayed at home with her cawpaw) Well, when we came down from singing he was being very quiet and coloring so we left him over there. After the meeting the mom he was sitting with told me this story...
He had drawn his hand on the back of the program and was coloring it in and he opened the program and told her he wanted to write a letter. She asked to whom? and he quickly replied.
"I want to write a letter to the Holy Ghost."
After I heard this I was cracking up! A few days before, the young man who Blake was sitting with , coincidently, had come over to babysit the kids while Donnie and I went to Chesapeake's Christmas party. When he walked in Blake informed us that this was the boy who gives us the sacrament.
Times like this is when Blake blows me away! You don't really think he is paying attention when we talk to him and have family home evening or even in primary. But he is, to be telling us the things that he does. I am thankful he is learning...I hope I can keep up! :)
