Remembering Kolby...

Today I am remembering my dear friend's little boy Kolby, who passed away a year ago. I can't believe it has been a year. I have had so many emotions today. I can honestly say that I changed a year ago today. I changed how I look at life, family, the gospel and even how I parent. I sure miss that cute little boy with his big smile and beautiful blue eyes. I remember how Cassie would have to chase after him at church because he was so curious and wanted to see what was behind every door! We have celebrated Kolby's life this past year and we will continue to celebrate him! Kolby, we are thinking about you today as we do everyday. We love you and miss you!

Out of the mouths of MY babes!

Kenzie said "mama" today!!! She has been saying "dada" for three months and I was waiting patiently and today was the day!!!

Now for some cute things Mr. Blake has been saying:

My dad brought home a huge cardboard box and cut a door and windows in it and Blake has been playing in it all week, well the other night it rained and the cardboard box was destroyed. When he went over there he asked my mom what happened and she said it was broken and he said, "Call Handy Manny he has tools!" (For those who don't know Handy Manny is a cartoon on the disney channel.)

Blake and I sing primary songs every night after we say prayers and last night he wanted to sing the "popcorn" song by himself. I said ok, this is what I heard (as I tried to hold back the laughter)
"I looked out the window and what did I see? Opossum popping on the apricot tree, spring has brought me such a nice surprise, opossum popping right before my eyes, I could take an arm full and make a treat, a opossum ball that would smell so sweet, it wasn't really so, but it seemed to me, opossum popping on the apricot tree."
I was laughing so hard and then he argued with me when I told him it was actually popcorn!

Blake said the prayer last night and in it he asked that he could be nice to Kenzie! :) At least he is on the right tract! :)

Edmond Touch a Truck

Last weekend we went to Edmond's Touch a Truck. Blake had so much fun! Kenzie HATED it! She didn't like the loud horns, or the sirens or the K9 Police officer's German Shepard.
Blake ran to the different trucks to sit in them. It was so cute!
Blake as a Dolese Cement Truck Driver...

Blake as a race car driver...

Blake as an Oklahoma City Sheriff on a motorcycle...

Blake as a postal worker...(this one is for you Grandpa Sam!)

Blake as an EMT...

Blake even talked on the speaker and said "this is Blake"...

Blake as a Deer Creek Student on a school bus...

Blake flying the Medi-flight helicopter with the help of Ellen...

Blake next to the helicopter...

Blake driving the boat from the Edmond Police...
Kenzie liked the ski boat part...like mother, like daughter!
Blake on a tractor...

Blake on a John Deere. He informed us after sitting on this one that he was going to ask Santa for one for Christmas. He said his John Deere was for babies like Kenzie. We are in trouble!
Blake and Kenzie on the tractor.
It was so much fun to see Blake so excited for all the different trucks.

Happy 9 Months Kenzie!

I can't believe my baby girl is 9 months old already! Time has flown! She is amazing and is the happiest baby ever! She has started clapping, but only moves one hand to clap the other hand that stays still. She says "clap-clap" as the does it.
She has started to pull her self up!

She is army crawling and sometimes gets up on those knees!

She LOVES bath time! It makes her happy and she has a cute little tea set that she loves playing with while she is in the tub!

This is by far her favorite outdoor activity! Blake goes slow with her and she giggles the whole time!

And she is teething!!! Her hands are ALWAYS in her mouth and she is drooling like crazy! (Yes, her onesie says "Future OU Cheerleader"!!)
I Love this girl so much and she brings a smile to my face every morning! She is sleeping 12-13 hours a night and wakes up in the best mood! She loves to eat and try new things. The only thing she doesn't like to eat is pork or beef. She loves bananas and snickerdoodle cookies! She loves the cat Krew and "talks" to him when he walks by. She waves bye-bye and says it at the same time. She loves her big brother and she can laugh at him or with him all day!
Happy 9 months Kenzie! Thanks for being our sweet girl!

Bouncy Balls!

We have had some crazy weather in Oklahoma lately. It has been really cold and rainy. We are used to the rain, but it feels more like Seattle than Oklahoma. Today, there was a large storm and it started hailing outside, Blake looked outside in shock. I don't think he has ever really looked at hail before. He said,
"Can I go outside and play with all those bouncy balls?"

WOW... what a dream for a little boy! It was raining bouncy balls! They do bounce when they hit, but I think they would hurt more than a bouncy ball! I love that little boy!
