The close of this chapter...

As of last Sunday, I have been released from Primary. This came as a relief and disappointment all at the same time. I LOVED my calling in primary as the chorister. The children were amazing in the primary program and I loved teaching them. I have been in primary for 5 years (Blake is almost 5!) and so I don't really know a Sunday without those cute children being part of it.
The other reason it was a sad day was because I know that it means that three of the girls in this picture will be moving soon. We decided to get away in September and take a girls trip. The funny part is that we are all in the primary presidency/chorister together and so we had to find people to take over (thank you YW). The girls in this picture are my "girls", confidantes, and kindred spirits. I adore each of them and I am so sad that we won't be working together anymore. This is where this chapter closes. I have no idea what the next chapter has in store, but I know these girls will be part of my life FOREVER!
It was a wonderful trip full of girl talk, reading, laying by the pool, shopping, eating, movies, random pictures, more shopping and of course laughing! It was wonderful!

SFHS POM

This year, my alma mater invited past cheer/pom girls to come back and cheer at the Homecoming Game. Of course, I jumped on that because if I could go back to any time of my life it would be high school. I LOVED high school. I had amazing friends, was involved in so many different clubs and activities and really enjoyed every aspect of high school! I wanted to get Kenzie involved too so I went and bought a retired cheer uniform from the high school and she dressed up! (Now remember way back when I found out I was having a girl and one of the reasons I was so excited was so I could dress her up in cheerleader outfits!) It was such a fun night and I got to catch up with many old friends that I had not seen in a long time. GO SFHS!

This is her serious cheerleader face!!! :) You should have seen that ponytail it was tiny!!!

A few of the girls down on the field.
My sweet family came to watch me cheer and so did my mom and BFF Amy!
GO WOLVES!

Blake's First Day....

It all started with the night before school started....Blake's cute teacher gave him "Ready Confetti" to sprinkle under his pillow to help him sleep....he just knew it was magic like it had stated! It must have worked because he slept great!!!
The kids with their backpacks.....Kenzie wanted to pretend it was her first day of school too...even though her first day isn't for 3 LONG weeks! ;)

I just LOVE this one!
His official PRE-K picture! I can't believe that my little guy is this old.....it just seems weird...
Mommy and Blake
My kids....you can see Kenz is real happy in this one! :)
Blake with his wonderful teacher! We LOVE her!!!
His cute name we found up on the wall!!
Blake and daddy! They look so much alike in this one!
We went in with him for the first part of the day and they read "The Kissing Hand" and we sang a song. He was just excited to be sitting on #20!
This is Kenzie as we waited 45 MINUTES to pick Blake up from school. This is going to get real old....I think I need more minutes on my cell phone if this keeps up! :) But Kenz was great the whole time!
She wanted to know where "bake" went!
And yes, I made him chocolate chip cookies to celebrate the first day! I love the chocolate on the face!
P.S. for all you moms out there....Yes, I cried like a baby when I "left" him in his class. I couldn't get hold of myself....he has been in school since he was 12 months old...this was just different...it was  big step.....

Holiness in Motherhood by Shawni....

http://71toes.blogspot.com/2010/07/holiness-in-motherhood.html

This mother is amazing and I love her blog. She is very inspiring and I have also read the book she wrote with her mother. The little things she says are exactly what I need to heat. I needed this particular one today. Thank you Shawni!

4th of July!

I have never seen this little girl so excited to sit in her stroller....but for some reason she was!

Mommy and her babies!! I love these kiddos!

Aunt Regan, Uncle Casey (well almost!) and Blake!!!

Our Fam! Yes, Kenzie screamed the whole time we were taking pics! She did like the fireworks though!

I am in love with this pic! It I love how my kids eyes are glued to the sky and how much they love my parents! SO CUTE!
It really hasn't felt like July in the great state of Oklahoma....more like September (which is making me really excited for football season!!) It has rained almost everyday and the highs are in the low to mid 80's. We should be cooking and so hot that we can't wait to get to the lake! The lakes have been closed because of all the flooding, so I guess I am glad it is not 105 degrees outside! :) I am ready to get to the lake and play though! We are sick of being stuck inside! :) Happy 4th of July!

What have we been up to?????

We have been very busy the first few weeks of Summer 2010!!!

We have been to the park!

Donnie and Blake went to Taos, NM to get our newest vehicle to add to the Waggoner Fleet. Donnie is restoring this 1973 VW Bus. Blake loves helping! (A Special thank you to James S. for all his help with this ongoing project and to Allie for letting your hubby play late into the night!!!)

We said good-bye to our dear friends. This is Blake's girlfriend! Little Miss G! This was their "family" picture! He misses her so much!

We have played at the Science Museum with the adorable man below. Oh, I love him!!

We have played outside in the sprinklers, fort, grass, etc!!!

We had a slumber party in the living room...thank you electricity for going out for providing us such a nice, hot evening!!

We played on the slip and slide at Noni and Cawpaw's house. They have the best "hill". (or "heel" as Blake would say)

We have been out on the boat!!

Playing in the lake!

Riding on the tube with our friends!

Having "mud facials" if that is what you can call the sand on Lake Arcadia's beach! She is SO not her big brother! She loves to get dirty!

We even had a wonderful evening at Pelican Bay with many friends! (thanks to the B family!)

SO this is why we haven't posted anything is a LONG time...we have been to busy having fun, soaking up the rays, and enjoying our summer!!
Some interesting tidbits.... Blake named my parents Noni and Cawpaw when he first started talking. Kenzie has re-named them her own names. My mother is Nie and my dad is PaPa! She is her own little person that Kenzie!!! So independent and not about to follow what others are doing!
