Blake's First Camping Trip!

Last weekend, Donnie took Blake on his first camping trip... in the backyard. Donnie told Blake about it a week before and so Blake talked about it all week and told everyone that he was going camping in a tent. Donnie even went and bought him his own sleeping bag. He was so excited. Blake has a book called, "Fred and Ted Go Camping" we read that book everyday!
So they made a fire in our fire pit and cooked hot dogs and s'mores outside.
And Blake carried out his sleeping bag, kitty, and taggie (which go with his everywhere) and set up his tent.
This was Blake practicing how he was going to lay down in his tent just like Fred and Ted.
Donnie took Blake and they rented two movies to watch in the tent with the portable DVD player.
And this was the little camper before he went to bed. I really didn't expect him to fall asleep outside. I figured they would come back in after the movie and both sleep in their own beds, but they slept outside until 4:00 a.m. when Blake heard a train that woke him up and he kept saying "choo choo daddy!" and then a motorcycle drove by and so he couldn't stop talking about that and then he told Donnie he was cold, so they came in and he went right back to sleep in his bed. Donnie was VERY proud of his son. He can't wait to go camping for real out in the "wilderness" (that word is Robyn's not Donnie's). I am so lucky to have a great husband who wants to let his child try everything and be so involved in his life. I love you Donnie and Blake!

Take a picture of Kenzie doing this.....

Cute little Kenzie is now 6 weeks old and I can't believe it! She is so much like Blake in so many ways but is also her own little person. She is very demanding and it is her way or no way. I can't imagine what she will be like at 16!! She is so sweet though and loves to cuddle!

I love this picture because that is how her feet ALWAYS are. In this picture it makes her look like a little purple frog.

Her sweet side! This was a couple of weeks ago. She has gained cheeks since then. She actually gained 2 lbs in 2 weeks. Her dr. made me go weigh her again just to be sure. We found out she has reflux and so she is on crazy expensive formula and two different medications. She seems to be doing much better though!
Our little BOOMER SOONER! She gets dressed head to toe every weekend for the games!
Blake is such a good big brother and loves to get in her face and make her smile! He also helps with feeding her and changing her diapers. When she starts crying he says, "It's ok little girl, mommy is coming." When we are in the car he says, "It's ok baby Kenzie, we will be home in a few minutes." (even when we aren't going home! :)
She still has her cute red hair like I did when I was born! I think it is getting redder!
She loves her pacifier! Blake didn't take one, so this is a new experience for us! Blake calls it her "pinky"!!
Blake, daddy, and Kenzie relaxing after work! Donnie is such an amazing father. He loves to spend time with his kids and can't wait to come home after work. He has been so helpful!
Blake giving Kenzie pats as she is "enduring to the end" with her tummy time. She screams while she is having tummy time. We just tell her it is making it so she doesn't have a "bobble head" like her Noni! :0) Love you mom!!
Blake was trying to cover her eyes while she slept in her swing. He thought it was too bright for her!
This is how she makes herself go to sleep. She rubs her head! It is so funny! I think she looks like she is posing here though. She gets that from her mom. (Take a picture of me doing this!)

Look at those cute feet and shoes!

I am such a lucky mom to have two adorable children who bring a smile to face everyday!

Bath Time Fun!

Today Blake and I gave Kenzie a bath and he said, "Mommy, I want to water Kenzie!" Apparently, she is a flower in his eyes. He has always helped me "water" the garden and so he wanted to water her too! It is so cute to see them together. He will walk over to her and give her a kiss on her head and say, "I love my sister, Baby Kenzie." I love how he is so gentle and sweet with her. What a precious boy!

Blake and Kenzie

I can't believe that our little girl is already 2 1/2 weeks old. She is so much fun and it is fun to see Blake interact with her. He is a big help! She is very sweet and sleeps so well. She has already gained almost a pound since she was born, so as you can tell, she isn't going without food! We love her and her cute big brother! We have some pics to post from last weekend... I will get to them soon! :)
